Our Mission
At Agromin, we focus on ReHarvesting organic waste—such as food scraps and green material—into high-quality, organic compost and soil products. Our belief is that true sustainability starts with healthy soil.
By keeping organic waste out of landfills and returning it to the soil, we help communities reduce greenhouse gas emissions to cool the planet, fight off global warming, protect natural resources, and improve soil health in agriculture and landscapes.

For more than 35 years, Agromin has helped California communities turn organic waste into measurable environmental, agricultural, and community value. Through ReHarvesting, food scraps, green material, and other organic resources are transformed into high-quality compost, mulch, and soil products that support healthier soil and long-term sustainability.
What many see as waste, we see as a resource with more to give. By diverting organic material from landfills and returning it to the soil, Agromin helps reduce greenhouse gases, protect natural resources, and rebuild healthy soil for farms, landscapes, public spaces, and home gardens.
Today, Agromin serves communities across California by working with cities and counties, growers, landscapers, contractors, gardeners, waste haulers, composters, special waste partners, and authorized retailers. Together, these partners help keep organic material in use and bring valuable resources back to the communities they came from.

Our Impact Since 1990
Since we began in 1990, Agromin has helped divert more than 13.6 million tons of organic material from landfills, turning what would have been waste into valuable compost and soil products.
10.15 Billion Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Avoided
Agromin’s organics recycling and composting efforts have cut greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to vehicles driving 10.15 billion less miles.
