Part 1 of BioCycle’s 2023 Food Waste Composting Infrastructure Report has just been released. In collaboration with the Composting Consortium, BioCycle surveyed full-scale U.S. facilities that compost food waste and other organics. Agromin participated in the survey.
Part 1 of the 4-part series provides an excellent overview of the state of food waste recycling in the U.S. Not surprisingly, California leads the nation with 34 facilities. Survey results highlight the type of feedstock received, the annual tonnage accepted and composted, compost markets and facility operations.
