CLU Students Practice Regenerative Farming Agromin

AG_News_students - Agromin

Students from Cal Lutheran University’s Sustainable Edible Education (SEEd) program have been busy getting an early start on their spring garden. The students are adding a custom amendment blend of organics, sand and biochar that was specifically designed by Agromin to enrich the garden soil with the nutrients it needs.

SEEd students are practicing regenerative farming, which builds up soil matter and returns it to its natural state. The soil can then better absorb carbon and retain water (all good for the environment!). The Agromin soil mix will give their garden the right starting point. So far so good! The students have planted wheat, carrots, beets, corn, snap peas, lettuce, arugula, spinach, radishes and flowers?with more to come.
