Ventura Botanical Gardens Already on the Rebound After Thomas Fire

AG_News_VBG - Agromin

Much of the Ventura Botanical Gardens located above City Hall was burned during the Thomas Fire. The recent downpour that unfortunately caused so much damage in Montecito, was enough to generate new growth in the garden’s soil. Signs of life are already starting to appear.

The garden’s hills are terraced so they held up well in the rain, however, the area is closed until repairs can be completed and it’s safe to re-enter.

Agromin recently donated 40 yards of its ES2 Mulch to the gardens. It will be spread over a flat area where community and private events are held. If you’d like to see how you can help with the restoration efforts, go to venturabotanicalgardens.com.
